Dustin Karrer about International Basketball Camp

1. Coach, Please introduce your self (what kind of coaching experience you have, important  wins, prominent players )
My name is Dustin Karrer and I have 6 years of HS coaching experience with a 132-58 record. 2 time district champion, 3 time area finalist, 2 time regional finalist, 1 state championship. 1 year of coaching professionally in the Kosovo Superleague for Kerasan Pristina, 2 years assistant coach for U16 Kosovo National team.
2. Where you work now and what are you responsibilities?
I currently work for The Basketball Embassy as Director of Domestic Coaching and also the head mens basketball coach for Great Hearts Monte Vista, a prominent group of charter schools both Texas and Arizona
3. Do you have D1 players ( also what is the level in D1 collages)?
I have currently coached 4 Division 1 Players Andrew Poulter (Arkansas Little Rock), Paul Perez (Texas A&M Corpus Christi), Kyle Hittle (Incarnate Word), and Austin Karrer (University of Texas San Antonio) as well as 17 other lower level college players
4. What are the right steps to go studying and playing in USA Colleges Leagues?

The biggest different in the college game and international play is the speed of the game and the need for quickness. Fundamentals and footwork are expected to already be mastered by the time the player arrives on campus. Be able to contribute to your team by more things than scoring, a scorer is a dime a dozen in college. Players that can defend and play team offense are always needed.5. What will be interesting for you to see on our Camp?
We will be interested in the desire for knowledge and understanding of the game from our campers and their desire to expand their comfort zones and become better players6. Do you what to tell something on the kids who will be part of International basketball camp?
Be ready to commit fully to this camp and the process of attacking every drill with the intent of getting better, becoming a better player, and a tougher person in the process. I look forward to working with you all shortly
